Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

They sure have a Plan B though. Can’t rely on McTominay…he’s fucking pants.

You’d think they would have alright. But this is United under this regime.
It will be usual trolley dash up the aisle on transfer deadline day.

Only indication on Plan B is that it’s Tieleman or Neves.

City in for Frenkie

Have some of that.

Looks like Barcelona are digging in and refusing to pay him. If they manage to register their new signings then I reckon Utd move on but not until then.

Barca are an absolute shambles.

Barca doing a number on united here

It’s an interesting game of cat and mouse between club and player.
It’s shoddy out from Barcelona to be going down that route with players who in good faith deferred wages but the club must go on.
I wonder what did he think when he saw the likes of Depay and Aubameyang coming in and getting paid a wedge when he and others (I assume) were taking a pay cut?

If he does end up staying it’s a strained relationship at best and Barcelona have 3 or 4 players they cannot register, so it’s something both sides need to sort.

United need to think of moving on too or they will be caught yet again with their togs down when the tide goes out.

Definitely. Even entering talks for someone else could force Barcelona’s hand when they realise that no one else is in for De Jong.

It’d be interesting to see what they’re paying the new signings.

According to the La Liga journos the main issue is that De Jong has no interest in leaving Barcelona rather than them not paying him

Bidniz is bidniz

It’ll all get sorted mate. Johnny Cochrane and Ally McBeal are over there.

I don’t doubt it but Barca are playing senior football

Keep up.

I don’t see how that would impact any legal challenge

Sure If tells them he wants to leave than it’s a lot easier not to pay him.

It’s been reported that if he looks for a move then they don’t have to pay him the wages that were deferred.

So if he agreed to personal terms with Utd before sorting out the back pay then Barcelona are off the hook for €13m.

The TFK Man Utd fans say it’s the 17m wages saga. The in the know La Liga journos say it’s the fact he doesn’t want to go to Old Trafford at all. Contradictory reports. I don’t know who to believe.
