Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

Youd happily keep the 20 goals a year bit if thats all it was. Itā€™s the fact that heā€™s an egomaniac who does whatever he wants. Not turning up for pre season then leaving early the next game. Completely undermines the manager. Heā€™s poison in the dressing room. The Juve lads called it as such. Heā€™s gotta go.

Without Ronaldo in 2020-21 Manchester United scored 73 Premier League goals.

With Ronaldo in 2021-22 they scored 57. Five of those were on the opening day against Leeds when he hadnā€™t yet signed.

Without Ronaldo in 2017-18 Juventus scored 86 goals in Serie A. With him in 2018-19 they scored 70.

Ronaldo is no longer a player up to the requirements of top end modern football and hasnā€™t been for a good four years. Heā€™s the ultimate luxury player with an even more luxurious attitude and you canā€™t afford that.

Anyone who spent thousands of hours playing Champ manager 01/02 knows how to handle the Ronaldo situation ā€œYou are indispensable to the clubā€ while fining the fuck out of him.

How much would Ronado get if they terminated his contract?

I donā€™t think they can just terminate his contract unless he agrees.

Ferguson was never proven more right than in getting rid of Keane. Keane had become a total egomaniac who believed he should run the club at the same time as he had become more than dispensable as a player. Such a presence is toxic in a club and has to be eliminated.

Ferguson if anything waited two or three years too long to get rid of Keane and Manchester United stagnated between at latest the summer of 2003 and the time Keane was gotten rid of. Keane had media cheerleaders who kept stressing what a professional he was and how he drove other players on and tolerated no bullshit. Once a player goes on the slide - and Keane had been on the slide since 2002 Iā€™d say, you reach a point where the self styled ā€œno bullshitā€ merchant becomes the bullshit.

The six or seven weeks from mid to late November 2005 when Keane left to early January 2006 when Manchester United signed Vidic and Evra were the key weeks in the formation of the team that would dominate English football up to Fergusonā€™s retirement in 2013.

At least with the festering Keane situation from 2003-ish to late 2005, it was a product of a totemic player who had been at the club for over a decade.

With Ronaldo, they actually went out and signed all that bullshit, much worse bullshit than even Keane ever brought, so itā€™s far worse.

Youā€™ve literally no idea what your talking about tbh. Itā€™s incredibly embarrassing for you.

Believe what you want. By the end Keane had become a totally toxic presence who was intimidating and inhibiting the other players at Manchester United while his own ability had severely waned.

Ronaldo is all that times at least five. Ronaldo is not an encouragement to other players, he is not somebody who ā€œsets standardsā€, somebody they look up to and try emulate.

Heā€™s an utterly toxic presence at that club. He is the primary problem.

You are just compiling bizarre ramblings now.

Paddy Footix of a Man U persuasion gets very touchy if thereā€™s as much as a bad word uttered about Keano.

Keane was of course correct. Ferguson not have been involved with the owners and his falling out with coolmore directly led to the club being sold to the glazers.

The key foundations of the team from 06 to 09 was of course signing ronaldo and building a team around Ronaldo and him developing into a great player.

When they sold ronaldo they sold him cheaply and signed Antonio Valencia, Michael Owen and a couple of other duds. From 09 to 13 the team was in total decline.

Ferguson had a really bizarre line where heā€™d trot out about there being no value in the market. The signing of berbatov unsettled tevez too and that money should have been spent on a midfielder.

Meltdown incoming

TOP REDS take any criticisms of their sacred cows very, very seriously.

@BruidheanChaorthainn would remind you of lads defending holding All-Irelands in July.

You arenā€™t criticising anybody. You are making up a heap of lies.

Roy said that the United players at the time needed to mix it up in training but Carlos was having none of it. Keaneā€™s book tells the rest:

ā€œNo, Roy, we need repetition ā€” thatā€™s what we need. Repetition.

ā€œAnd I said, ā€˜Carlos, do you always make love to your wife in the same position?ā€™

ā€œAnd I think he went, ā€˜What ā€” where is this going.ā€™

ā€œI said, ā€˜You change the position, donā€™t you? Sometimes you have to mix training up a little bit. Thatā€™s all Iā€™m saying.ā€

ā€œI havenā€™t a clue why I said that - I still donā€™t,ā€ he finished before admitting that sure enough, the boss had to get involved to tell the pair to cop on.

Mentioning a manā€™s sexual activities with his wife was probably a step too far, Roy.

This encounter always makes me laugh when I hear of the last days of Roy Keane at Man Utd.

The short terminism of all these journalists is incredible. Regardless ronaldo is gone in 8 months. Iā€™m amazed by the reaction.

Playing football for Manchester Red Devils is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman.

You get your hopes up and think this time itā€™s going to be different. You start out fast before you go behind and then hope you can hang on to salvage a shred of dignity.

The Ronaldo thing has loads more of the unprecedentededness. The greatest goalscorer in the history of the sport and the teams top scorer in the season just gone is agreed by almost every serious analyst to be the main problem with the team. He scores so many goals he causes the team to score less. I canā€™t ever remember either of those things happening before.
Heā€™s also commonly regarded as one of the most professional players of all time but heā€™s actually ruining team spirit and making all the other players act unprofessionally on the pitch by not trying.
Also, he wants to go, the club want him to go but despite him being arguably the GOAT and their current top scorer absolutely nobody wants him. They canā€™t give him away.
The poor cunts are cursed and you can only laugh at their plight

Iā€™d love to know the links between man united and juventus.

They get Pogba for free.
Man united sign him back for 100 million.
Man united take ronaldo off their hands with his wages are a huge issue.
Now we are signing rabiot off them whoā€™s trouble.
