Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

These things are cyclical. All clubs have bad runs. Sure my lot Spurs have basically won nothing trophy wise in the last 40 years. The fans are an hysterical lot though. All this vitriol against owners the Glazer family, who have consistently provided serious financial investment in terms of player recruitment and who presided over the most successful era in the clubs history from 2007 to 2013, is very unedifying.

All this talk now of unrest at the Liverpool game next week, less than 18 months on from sickening scenes of violence from Man U fans that caused the cancellation of the same fixture. The Greater Manchester constabulary need to come down hard on any miscreants.

The Glazer’s main mistake by far is not getting a sporting director/director of football in years ago

They made no mistake with the dividends though. The only club in the league to pay out dividends to the owners

They are interested in finishing in the top 4 as that’ll keep the money coming in.

Ibrahimovic was the same.

Possibly the worst transfer decision in the history of the club, and there’s been a few bad ones

Lolz

An element of a catfish about them these days. They’re billed as the best club in the world on the dating profile but turn out to be toxic then after the first date. Usually involving embarrassment and a ruination of anyones reputation who goes near them. Frenkie De Jong is desperately trying to avoid their pursuit on their latest “hot club summer” crusade.

Ronaldo was brought back to sell jerseys, nothing to do with football

They’re like a very handsome and ripped male contestant on Love Island who turns out to have three different children by three different women he has completely abandoned, one conviction for sexual assault against one of those women and a trial upcoming for sexual assault against another woman, a massive cocaine habit, does not know the name of the capital city of France and does not know how to boil an egg.

Utterly useless piece of trivia: RTE’s montage at the end of their broadcast of the 1999 Champions League final was set to the track “Love Island” by Fatboy Slim.

Was it not more than his falling out with coolmorevled directly to coolmore buying the club so as to break his balls?

Manchester United since Ferguson retired.

What’s the mood like over on the ground in Manchester? Be interesting to get some local insight, rather than the Paddy Footix type analysis from Eire that you get on here.

Dominic Noonan has a put a contract out on Malcom Glazer

Surely David Gill could be coaxed back to come in even on a consultancy basis and sort the thing out upstairs?

Ah here…that’s the lowest of the low. You can’t compare United to Spurs! I means its Spurs ffs…

I think he’s still on the football board.

Actually forgot about this from the weekend. Have you ever seen this before or this lack of situational awareness in a game?
