The Qataris were the job for it.
You’d wonder with the people they are bringing on the staff, they all seem to be complete fucking hammer heads. Like there is no one there who can say to Rashford ‘You’re the main man here if you get yourself right, you’ll play but occasionally might have to do a shift up front; you got 35 goals a few seasons ago, we need you to do that again, you’re very important to us.’
Its like they think he was aspiring to fuck his career away, which Villa showed he isn’t. Same goes with Sancho really.
@BruidheanChaorthainn pushed for “Sir” Jim over the “head chopper” owners. A pity he’s in his 70’s. The kind of owner you’d love to see at Man United for a concerted period of time.
Why do you keep saying this? Are sancho and rashford not getting sent back? They haven’t been that good at all from what I’ve seen. Both were decent the odd time for united over last few years too
They are probably not optimal, especially for the authoritarian type managers that the club continue to appoint - but - you keep stripping the team of competent footballers (they are that) and you end up with a 15th or 16th place finish, whichever one it is.
There’s guys there like Hojlund, Amass, Lindelof who were getting games who will never ever be good enough; but they are kept as they are no trouble.
Statistically, United are a better team with Marcus Rashford. That is why I say it.
They need do get rid of those kind of characters to have any chance of challenging the top teams though surely. Putting up with them is why they are floating around challenging for Europe every year but nothing else. They have to take short to medium term pain for long term gain. Probably won’t work but at least they should try it. The thing of sigining real premier League proven players from the smaller teams is another one they’ve never really tried. Someone pointed it out the other day and id never really noticed it before
Maguire, Shaw, Wan Bissaka, Schneiderlinn ![]()
Very few really with all the signings they’ve made. No good forwards either which has been a huge issue. I suppose Liverpool don’t do it all that much either. Ah sure who knows… the whole thing breaks every rule of professional sport.
Disgraceful

If they worried less about character and more about technical ability, game intelligence, physicality, pace and stamina, they’d be in a better place. Most top players are weirdos and/or cunts. Hojlund looks like a nice lad though.
Ah I don’t know. I think most top clubs are doing their due diligence on character now. Just look at Liverpool under Klopp and Slot. When you see fringe players like Tsimikas, Endo and Chiesa all invested in games from the bench you realise that there’s very little bitterness there about not starting. No team leaks or any of the shite that was going on under Ten Hag at Yanited. A squad with good characters in it is hugely important.
Chiesa is a top guy hobbled by injury and knows it. The other two lads are lucky to be there and wouldn’t be if Liverpool had real big money to spend. Think a Rashford or a Sancho are a different deal.
The funny thing is these hammer heads feel they are in a position to make these 300k per week guys do anything.
I’d accept though that Liverpool seem to sign good guys. Mane was perceived as a prick and Klopp still took him though.
United seem to sign an inordinate amount of lads who can’t run and have the physique of an under or overfed rentboy though.
They ran Moyesie out of it for getting rid of their chips.
He was just mimicking Brexit Jim and the dinner ladies.
Sensible to get next seasons scapegoat lined up good and early. Every summer they seem to move on the troublemaker, the fella who is causing unrest and usually has a family member involved as well - Pogba, Lingard, Sancho, Rashford, Garnacho. They are in some state.
Yeah the main men like Salah, Van Dijk, Alisson and Alexis MacAllister seem to be good guys as well as excellent footballers. It seems a very harmonious dressing room. I’d say the bitching at Carrington has Ruben driven demented.
How much of it is good management Vs good personalities. I’d say VVD would be a prickly enough character if not handled right and Salah the same. Winning helps I suppose.
