Liverpool in their dominant era 1964-90 were posting points total in the 80’s most seasons. They won a treble in 1983-84 in a 42 games season with 80 points.
Paddy Footix reads far too much into points totals. The higher points totals are because the quality is largely putrid. Sure Glasgow Celtic are getting 100 points now in the League of Scotland. Is that because the quality there is getting better all the time?

Jose was only sacked because he stopped managing the team after failing to sign the players he wanted.
He essentially went on gardening leave until they sacked him.
Fellas would rather finish second with a 117 points than actually win the league title.
