Manchester United 21/22

If we beat Arsenal it’s easy enough to see us win 11 of the next 13 games.

It’s a real pity we didn’t hold on last night as we’d have a decent shot of getting back into the title race.

Ralph has timed his appointment excellently tbf.

Man U have picked up 5 points out of the last 24. A bold claim that they’ll pick up a minimum of 36 out of the next 42 on offer.

You’ll always get a bit of a bounce after a new manager is appointed. Think ole won ten of his first eleven games maybe.

They are much better than they’ve played so far too so there’s a few reasons as to why they should improve.

Woah horsey. he has a job to sort out some of the dross in the squad as it is. AWB will not work in an attacking side, McTominay will have to be phased out for VDB and he’ll have to drive Harry Magurie out to the woods for a walk and leave him there.

Qualify for Champions League next season and get through all of that and some bargain signings from the Bundlesliga for defence and midfield, while moving on Pogba and Lingard, and we’re laughing.

It’s easy rack up wins against the cannon fodder particularly when the players have a point to prove too.

Need to beat Arsenal on Thursday but I can see us going on a really good run between now and March.

Martial and Pogba will definitely need to be move on.

I’d say wan Bissaka, bailley, van de beek and Fred will improve significantly under Ralph.

he has consistently been one of Utd’s better performers in big games. I don’t get the criticism to be honest, he works hard, covers the ground for other lads and sacrifices his own game, a great team player.

Problems arise when he is left high and dry against the “weaker teams” when Pogba and Bruno are accommodated. Play him in a 2 and he is very solid, he destroyed Man City last year

That’ll see Utd safe for another season.

Era he’s an incredibly frustrating player at times. He can be very good against better teams but he’s prone to terrible mistakes. Like getting sent off against PSG last year.

There’s a player in there somewhere I agree.

Dunno about AWB but agree on the rest. He’s a quality defender but offers next to nothing going forward which is criminal at this level.

That’s where good coaching comes in.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Martial is sitting on a big contract only recently signed. Like Phil Jones and Mike Phelan.

250k a week And two and a half years left. One hope is he wants to give the France squad one last go so he fucks off somewhere to play.

He can’t cross a ball. A full-back/wing-back who cannot cross a ball. Then his effort to deal with the long ball and subsequent early chance for Chelsea in yesterday’s game :see_no_evil:

You can’t coach natural instinct. If he had it he’d have shown it by now. It’s not a case of making him worker hard, like with Luke Shaw.

united will get some bounce from two managers being appointed so

His stats stand up against most attacking full backs except TAA

he has a higher cross percentage than Kyle Walker and is on track to have more assists than him, he gets as many crosses in too and creates as many chances.

Full backs are killed by the system recently at United, there isn’t much overlapping done against the weaker teams to avoid being overrun in the middle where there is usually fuck all pace or desire to work back and protect them

Wan Bissaka is the least of United’s worries.

They signed a sicknote from Real Madrid and none of their other centre backs are worth a fuck.

Down the middle is where all the problems are.

They squandered the “Getting Luke Shaw away from the dessert trolley” boost too early in the season.

Carrick needs to build the team about Luke. Like a flotation device

Wouldn’t agree with that. Maguire is doesn’t but Lindelof and Bailly are decent but do not work as a pairing.

Tuanzebe is closer to the type of centre back Rangnick signed at other clubs so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s tempted to try and recall him from his loan at Villa.

Stats can say what they like about AWB, it doesn’t take much to see he has almost no attacking intelligence, not for want of trying admittedly.
