There is no questioning Rooneyâs commitment and work rate. Like all good strikers he is streaky and can go off the boil. He has definitely lost a half yard of pace and his confidence has been low. A goal can change all that, especially one well despatched like tonight. I canât understand why Martial is not up top with Rooney at 10 instead of the bollix of playing Rooney at 9 and 10. Itâs either Mata or Rooney at 10 not both. The problem is no decent wingers which the club has always had. The available wingers are shite which is why Martial and Mata are being played out wide. If van Gaal had any balls he would play one defensive mid rather than two and set up more aggressive. He wonât though the orange Cunt.

1902 was the year of foundation of Man U, not 1878.
Claiming that Man U were founded in 1878 is just silly. Its like a supporter of the newest club in the Scottish league Glasgow Rangers claiming they were founded in 1872.
Mate, Manchester United were formed in 1878 as Newton Heath.
The club had its centenary celebrations in 1978.

Like a lot of Manchester United fans you seem to be very insecure about Manchester Unitedâs johnny come lately status in the hierarchy of football tradition. Its the only logical explanation for this re-invention of history. If it makes you feel any better, Chelsea were founded three yearâs later than Manchester United in 1905.

I wouldnât deem 1878 as johnny come lately either, although I suppose when compared to grass roots regional football teams such as Notts County it could be deemed so.
Making up a history that doesnât exist. Thatâs the essence of insecurity. Newton Heath Football Club was founded in 1878 and was served with a winding up order in 1902 after getting into financial difficulty.

I understand you to be claiming that Manchester United was founded in 1878 on the basis that there was a football club in the Manchester area Newton Heath operating in that period. Weak.

Like Marathon changed to Snickers and Opal Fruits to Starburst, Newton Heath rebranded to Manchester United when a group of local business men stepped in and cleared their debt. The UEFA website lists Manchester United year of formation as 1878. The club celebrated its centenary in 1978.
No amount of googling or obfuscation will alter the facts pal.
The latest reincarnation of Glasgow Rangers lay claim to have been founded in 1872 when in fact they were founded in 2012.

There was me thinking that rebranding & marketing men were a creation of the Sky Sports/EPL post 1992 era. Manchester United (or should that be Newton Heath) were rebranding a full 90 years earlier in 1902.
