Mata seems one of those “please love me” type players who will say anything and talk utter rubbish to endear himself to the fans. This has to be a Spanish phenomenon, Crosas and Novo did the same thing when at Celtic and the now extinct Rangers FC.

Brilliant goal from Ashley Young. All credit to his manager for bringing out the best in him.
Only saw the second half. Were under a bit of pressure before Young’s goal, which was quality. Comfortable thereafter, Cardiff looked a bit shit really. Some good renditions of “You Are My Solskjaer” being belted out by the United crowd though. Mata was playing behind the frontman. Got on the ball a lot, looked tidy on it as you’d expect. Had one fairly decent chance that Evra pulled back to him, but fluffed the shot a bit.
