It’s not. By and large the English league is utterly awful. Bar maybe between 05 and 09 when arsenal, man united, Chelsea and Liverpool were regulars in the champions league semi finals it’s an awful standard.
The EPL’s performance in the CL is largely dependent on the fortunes of Liverpool, as seen by results for Klopp and Benitez, where EPL teams reached finals in 05,06,07,08,09 and 18, 19.

This seems like a smart signing at a decent price. I’d say grealish or Maddison would have cost twice as much. Hard to see a pogba, Bruno and De Beek midfield working from I’ve heard. Imo wide right and probably centre half are the areas we need to work on.
