Listened to him on a Podcast with Fjortoft recently, it’s on Spotify anyhow. He built up a list on contacts with agents and internal people at clubs and keep it above board so he doesn’t fuck anyone over with leaks or anything like that.
That would be a massive signing. The outlay, along with VDB, would surely mean that the Sancho deal is dead?
Saving ten million a year with Sanchez gone, plus likely smalling, Mata, lingaard, Pereria, rojo, Jones and maybe smalling/Bailey off they’d be saving a lot of money.
Have they sold any of those lads yet? - Utd making big moves this summer … If they land Upamecano they are title contenders…
frightening window as a Liverpool fan - Chelsea, Utd and City have all strengthened significantly and without getting into a financial debate – with the uncertainty of home revenue Liverpool cant spend like the others — tho they’ll make one signing at least, probably Sarr 30m
Antonio Conte will be salivating at that list
Man united have spent 40 million so far. While getting rid of Sanchez. If Liverpool continue to pay agents 40 million a year even without buying a player it’s no surprise they are short of money.
Hopefully.
I would imagine they’d be paying agents fees when signing players. Hardly paying massive agent fees last summer when they only signed a couple of young lads.
Top of the charts
I’m sure that 1.7 million more than Man Yoo that Liverpool is paying really accounts for the gap between the teams
Bit like on FM I suppose where you offer the agent an extra few bob to get their client on cheaper wages.
But but but but… Net spend, yada yada yada
Man united made 4 significant signings in that period.
Liverpool can pay agents because they’re not outlaying half a billion on players … They sell to buy and buy cheap where they can. It’s a business model that suits their financial capacity … Man Utd have spent as much on agents ffs but still splashed out over 500m on players
Liverpool have been breaking world transfer fees regularly in the past few years.
If you believe Liverpool’s net spend you probably believe pigs can fly.
Yes - they sold a player for huge sums and used it to buy - it’s a good business model.
Liverpool bought no one last year and before covid hit had only a cash balance of a £40m …
Klopp has done really well with his net spend … and it shouldnt drive you so demented - utd can throw as much as they like at the market and you should be delighted with that.
Van De Beek is a very good signing by Man Utd at that price.
I feel the squad needs a bit of a shake up in the midfield and attacking areas.
