Theyâve matched that by the next time they have a chance to win a trophy in 2022.
His wages have nothing to do with anything.
There was 120 minutes before that to prevent it going to spot kicks. And the outfield players didnât do enough.
They could do with an oulâ Zenith Data Systems Cup or ScreenSport Super Cup or something like that being around these days. Is the Lancashire Senior Cup still in existence?
Neither did the keeper, he has an atrocious penalty save rate.
Would never fault him for missing the spot kick.
Is his nerve gone?
Failed to save the last 35 penalties faced. Keepers are never expected to save a majority but thatâs absolutely embarrassing
Or the Full Members Cup.
Still a good shot stopper but not as consistant as he was. Alot more prone to errors. Not worth the wages to be honest. Henderson not the answer either.
I think De Gea over complicated the spot kick. He tried to do a Juan Mara or Bruno Fernandes and change direction at the last minute but didnât have the dexterity to do it all in one movement. Instead he looked like a giraffe trying to kick the ball and telegraphed what way he was going with one limb moving at a time. Even the Villareal players were celebrating before the shot reached the goal.
Squad depth cost em⌠The squad that cost over a billion vs a few lads cobbled together and on a earn as you play contract
I see the Lancashire Senior Cup is actually still in existence, with Manchester United last taking the trophy in 2013 with a famous derby win over Manchester City in the final, and all the bragging rights that go with it. That final was on August 6th, so it was a perfect start to David Moyesâ reign as manager, and he picked up his second major trophy five days later by winning the Charity Shield over an excellent Wigan team. With Moyesie currently riding high with a West Ham team he plucked from almost certain relegation last year, the decision to sack him after less than a full season, a week after a very unlucky defeat to Pep Guardiolaâs all-conquering Bayern team in the quarter-finals of the European Cup, looks crazier than ever. Thatâs a European performance that United have not bettered since.
A goalkeeper taking a penalty needs to do one thing. Kick the ball very hard.
Bottle is what cost em.
Bruno was woeful, Pogba woeful, Lindelof and Baiiy were poor. Rashford headless. Greenwood did nothing. Shaw and McTominay the only two to stand up. Some gutless displays is what cost em against a team they should be steam rolling.
Pele said a penalty should only ever be a firm side foot pass, 12 inches inside either post, always low. I read this as a 7 year old.
I never missed a penalty in my life in over 30 years playing soccer
Morenoâs stock with Liverpool supporters has never been higher
I slept through most of the game and woke up for the penalties. Result.
Thatâs Sir Bobby Robson to you commoner
@peddlerscross nailed it here, Villarreal obviously had a greater squad depth than united. The glazers need to open the cheque book.
