Didn’t Rio get banned for 8 months though for drugs related offences when he was at Man U?

:joy::joy::joy::joy:
Please tell me you don’t really actually believe that.

Was some lunatic saying earlier that Davie Moyes wasn’t wanted at United because he wasn’t foreign? At a club who had a Scottish manager for 57 out of 68 years from 1945 to 2013? Surely a WUM.

When Davie Moyes cleared out all the coaching staff and came with a small club mentality to one of the biggest clubs in the world then it was only going to end one way. Signing only Fellaini in that summer window did for him really, no-one wanted to sign for him.

Correct getting rid of Rene was a huge mistake but either way moyes was a dinosaur. He shouldn’t have let within a mile of old Trafford.

Davie Moyes was Dave Sexton lite. Except Dave Sextin actually won trophies as a manager.

It is if you’re one of the trio who make up the elite coterie of super franchises with unlimited resources. The two Manchesters and Chelsea account for 22 of the 28 league titles in the Premier League era between them. The going was a bit harder for that trio in the pre Sky Sports Super Sunday Rupert Murdoch era. They won 10 league titles between them in the 103 years from 1889 to 1992. Albeit, it should be acknowledged that Man U were only founded in 1902 and Chelsea in 1905 so all three of them weren’t around for all of those 103 years.

Since moyes was appointed united boss in 2013 4 different teams have won the title.

Off the top of my head six different mangers have won it in that period. Jose, conte, Ranieri, Klopp, pep and Pelegrini.

Claudio Ranieri and Antonio conte both won the title with teams that finished 7th the previous season in this period. They came, they saw and they conquered in 18 months or so.

You have repeatedly dismissed both mangers credentials.

On top of this you try and claim a born loser like David Moyes who’s never won nothing is a good manger.

You are some dinosaur.

Any sign of you answering my question from earlier, why do you claim Moysie was a failure as Preston manager?

Chelsea finished 10th the season before Conte’s arrival. Although they had won the title in 2015. Leicester somewhere around 17th before Ranieri’s arrival.

Chelsea finished in the Top 3 for 11 of the 12 season from 2003/04 to 2014/15 and won 4 titles in that period. The one season, they finished outside the Top 3 in 2011/12, they lifted the European Cup.

The 10th place finish in 2015/16 was all about Coach Mourinho losing the dressing room and the players downing tools. They lost 9 of the first 16 matches until Mourinho was sacked and were in 16th place. Once Hiddink took over as caretaker manager around Christmas, they went in a 15 match unbeaten run and surged up the table.

Credit to Conte for winning the league, but he had a title winning squad at his disposal and one of the elite coterie of super franchises. No comparison to the type of job Klopp or Moysie had in reviving sleeping giants Liverpool and Everton, who had been in the doldrums for years, decades even.

Liverpool finished second in 20213/2014. It’s taken Klopp 5 years to from 5th to 1st. Conte went from 10th to 1s in a few months.
