Well he’s been terribly advised here then because he’s wasted 9 months waiting for an obvious conclusion.
I suppose the club were planning on bringing him back, it was only after the kick back (which was blindingly obvious) that they changed their mind.
Maybe but more likely the glazers didn’t want to pay him off and just let the new owners decide what to do.

Completely bizarre the whole thing,
they’ve paid him off if he’s agreed to go
They might loan him yet.
The “alternative explanation” was that they were into role play and the audio was taken out of context.
