Anyone tried that Japanese place on O’Connell St, Taikichi? Fantastic food.

Ya but not in a while, was good alright, must go again.

Good to see the Hipsters were well catered for in Limerick in the 1920’s

If the lad in the pic grew a beard he’d be kitted out pretty much the same as most hipsters as well.

Only a couple of hours until I find out if my house is going to be bull dozed or not

Only a few hours till I find out if the family farm is divided into 4.

What’s looking the most likely?
The route doesn’t actually go through your house does it?

Is it fair to speculate that we’re looking at Adare being bypassed via Foynes or with a spur road to Foynes at least?

There is four routes. Three go by adare.

Boggers standing in the way of progress as usual.

That’s the Governments preferred option as they kill two birds with one stone, but apparently Europe aren’t best impressed by it and as they are providing the funding specifically for the Foynes upgrade they might have insisted on it being the Red (existing N69) route.

Ideally (for them, not for me though) they will bring the new road as close to Rathkeale as possible before cutting down to Foynes. It would probably be motorway as far as that junction, then a wide single carriage way spur road to Foynes (the blue route).

It’d be the logical thing to do you’d imagine since they are bypassing Adare soon anyway.

I think the Foynes-Askeaton to Adare bypass route (route 4) would be the way to go.
You’d get the best of both Worlds then. Fairly direct route and Adare Bypass.

Route 1 doesn’t bypass Adare.
Route 2 would require a huge amount of land purchases and isn’t very direct.
Route 3 same.

@Rintintin will be seething if it’s route 4.

Might not be the case as they will pretty much follow the route of the old train line so might have some scope along there and it would cause less disruption to farmers etc as they would be cutting across land that is already divided.

It looks like it will come down to a straight choice, my house or RTT’s.
One of us will be seething come 2pm.

Could they put some sort of pontoon road up the Shannon altogether

I see LIT are building a new campus at Coonagh Cross. when did that come about

Will the activists not go mental if it is going through Curraghchase? I’d have thought route four was a complete non runner.

They have it skirting around curraghchase. That is the reason for the green route heading southerly then easterly. Route 4 if done correctly wont affect me too much I hope. I plan on getting tons and tos of free toosoil

I think it is fair to say that the whole forum is rooting for @Rintintin in this one.
