Guys, Iām going to book The Savoy so my life partner can avail of the leisure centre facilities when Iām at the match. Iāll decide between Freddieās Bistro, Azur and The Brimstone for dinner in due course. Thanks for your kind assistance, all.
Stay away from Brimstone -average. Azur is really nice but I found the portions small - not saying donāt go, but the last time I ate there I left hungry after two (2) coursesā¦ (Pork Belly main)
Iāve heard nothing but meh about Brimstone mate. A foodie such as yourself deserves better.
@Bandage, the French Table is very nice but a little out of the wayā¦ @TreatyStones- whatās the place at the top of OāConnell street, on the corner to the left if you are going out of town? Iāve heard the food there is good also.
The treasury?
Iāve heard it is very good.
He could then bring her for a glass of wine in the Copper Rooms which is also supposed to be very good.
Moghul Emperor is the solution.
And it is 100yds from the hotel.
Pintsā¦ I guess the Still House for a Celtic fan and Tom Collins for the afternoon /evening
Sheās a very lucky lady to have you.
Freddys gets my vote
Ya, I think a visit to Tom Collins or Mickey Martins in the early evening.
Athough if heās going to that match it might mean a late enough dinner?
Should be book it or can he just roll up in a confident manner?
Valentines night. I would say book ahead for definite. This is Limerick. He wonāt carry as much sway (was going to say weight) as he does in the Silicone Docks.
You guys are just the best. Because of you lot I donāt even mind when Limerick annihilate us.
Iāll book dinner for 9.15pm. @Elvis_Brandenberg_Kr is giving me a spin back into town after the game.
Thatās prime boozing time pal. Bring her to the match and get her a bag of chips after and go out on the lash.
Yes - @Bandage - The Treasury and then Copper roomsā¦ If you and the good lady want more than a wine bar - Mickey Martins for one, tho has some hipster esque patrons - then chance Tom Collinsā, tho it is likely to be wedged. What time do you arrive into the City, pal? The Saturday market is great for brunch - tho by 1.30/2pm it is winding down. Very little happening there on Sunday but you will get a munch no probs, tho I presume breakfast will be had in the hotel? If you are arriving in the afternoon and looking to kill a few hours, the newly renovated visitors centre at Limerick Castle is well worth a visit - an interactive tour around the Castle - The Curragower pub across from it has some lovely (lite) pub grub, and you can sit and watch the majestic shannon flow while sipping on a hot whiskey with your loved one.
A great itinerary.
Chips in Donkeys has to be squeezed in somewhere surely mate?
Ya he really is cutting things short on drinking time with dinner booked for 9:15, could easily be 11 before they are finished.
Better of telling her to get a toasted sandwich in the hotel and that heāll meet her in Tom Collinsās after the game.
Unreal advice.
