Matters regarding Limerick, Limerick Pubs, No Culture allowed

Its getting so hard to tell them apart anymore.

Actual hipster bars aren’t just based on selling craft shite and usually smell like weed. They are more than a few years old as well. They are thin on the ground these days. Somewhere like Anseo in Dublin would tick the boxes. A great bar.

Newstalk this morning must have repeated the phrase “shot in the face” at least 30 times

Members of the Regional Support Unit based in Cork had been tracking the movements of a car travelling into Limerick. There were two men in that car.

When it stopped and during the following operation, a shot was discharged. One man was wounded in the face and taken to hospital. The other man has been arrested.

The injured man, who is from Eastern Europe, was transferred to hospital.
The incident happened at about 2.30am today in Shanagolden near Foynes. It is thought the gun may have been discharged accidentally.

Seems that lad shot in the face and his mate in the car were up to no good.

Eastern European chap so nothing to see here. Sweep, sweep.

Sports bar? What’s this, 2001?

When I moved to Limerick there was a sports bar in the Brazen Head, screens everywhere showing all kinds of shite, never a sinner in there though. The White House is a lovely bar, shame if it goes to shit.
The still house does a fine job as ‘Limericks sports bar’.

The old Teds is a loss. Was a great place for late drinking on a Tuesday or Wednesday night when @balbec and his work colleagues were on the town.

The 1230 closing time killed off such places

Great days. I’ve moved on now.

Sick to death of the likes of @Bandage, @farmerinthecity and all other mugs logging in here asking about Limerick and what to do and see, I have decided to put a little something together… Now it is only at a trial stage for the summer and it is hoped to develop it further down the road - most likely a proper app with augmented reality - that’s the hope anyway.

tho it’s a website, it is intended for mobile devices rather than desktop - we were being quoted 15,000 notes for an app so we went down the mobile friendly website to start with… At present it only has one generated walking route -medieval + early modern…

Check it out on a mobile device /tablet please

Not sure what’s going on - but a lot of info seems to be missing - i’m hoping that’s just teething problems as we transfer over to a new server. @TreatyStones is that a likely story?

Doubtful if you are just embedding a google map

The company that put the site together were transferring it over to a different host server and we’ve only gone live since this morning - I logged in once and all info was there, a number of other times I logged in different bits were missing… cunts.

When I look in the source code I can see the content is there, but for whatever reason it’s not displaying.
Should there be more pointers on the medieval route?

Yes, at least 10-15 items if I recall correctly…

Good stuff mouse, when are mouse walking tours starting?

You can generate your own from the site, my friend.

An admirable project Mouse. I do see that Thomunt Park is not included???

Apparently, it is still a work in progress, not fully transferred over to the new host server yet…
