Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️ (Part 2)

That’s it. Most tourists to Ireland don’t give a shite about rugby. I suppose the decision makers in LCC are rubby heads and up Munster rubby’s hole maybe, so thought it would be the most AMAZING thing ever…
The whole idea of a rubby museum is hilarious in any case. It should be in NZ if anywhere…

Does Limerick even get any tourists? Apart from people travelling from Dublin to Kerry stopping off for a piss and a sandwich. This was doomed to failure from the off as everyone predicted at the time.

The centre of Limerick resembles somewhere like Bradford in England, nothing but phone/vap shops and takeaways, its scandalous what has allowed to happened

You wouldn’t go into Limerick for a piss and a sandwich. That would be a mad detour. You’d hold your water until Barack Obama Plaza.

I don’t know how people live in it.

Bradford before or after Luftwaffe bombing?

This.

A multi-story international takeaway experience wouldn’t be a bad use for the place. That or maybe a multi-story fake handbag shop like that place in Beijing cc @Batigol.

Not even a third of G-G-G-G-Galway in terms of revenue :grimacing:

That’s mad, I would have thought the numbers would be a fraction of that. I googled Limerick tourist attractions in Limerick there and number 2 on the list on Discover Ireland is Thomond Park. Would you get many yanks roaming around Ballynanty?

We’re looking to 27’. Sure we’ll be hosting a major or a ryder cup every decade from then on…but still

I assume all the Carkies who filled the Gaelic grounds are included in those numbers

UL sports ‘competitions’ like am, ah, had they frisby throwing one year, would attract a few.

It’s still not on the WAW, but you’d get people passing through and staying I’d say. Shannon airport must help also.

Any wait till the Ryder Cup.
