Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️ (Part 2)

Often comes in 3s as they say

Fired in the direction of my home at the front row of houses, absolute vermin.

What did Danny Harty do to them ?

That feud is going back decades.

Where are the Reillys based?

Between Parkway & Kilmallock roundabout.

Hyde Road

Anyone know if the milk market opens on bank holiday Monday’s? And if so is it the food one or crafts one?

Definitely not the food one anyway, there might be something on on there but it’s hardly worth a visit, maybe antiques, art, vintage clothes or records

Meant to post this a few weeks ago when I was back for the run but was out for a trot again over the weekend and i was reminded to post it. I had no idea the opposition on the south circular road was so strong to the new bike lane. Certainly the amount of signs and messages on the houses from the Redemptorists down left no doubt. Obviously I had read a few bits and pieces here about it. At what stage are those plans at now?

In fairness it’s a 2.5k stretch and the signs are all within 30 yards of each other,
Those houses feel rightly hard done by and their annoyance is furthered because the houses from Mary I to Laurel hill Avenue have forced a cave in from the council a few years back,

To make an omelette you have to crack eggs etc but this is a bit of a shambles in places.
Their surveys were a load of bullshit, they took the data that they wanted and ignored more.
It’s going ahead, I hope it’s a huge success

Ah ok. When you’re away you miss the full story behind these things👍

What was that Limerick politician saying at the end of the RTE News there now?

So then I go to all the trouble of trying to catch it on RTE One+1 only to see he wasn’t on that for some reason.

Now I’m intrigued….

Olive tree formerly Rossis joins la Piccola in closing down in the last few weeks. La Piccola was 40 something years on the go.

I don’t know what the answer is, but eating out is too expensive and restaurants still don’t make much money.

The three pubs in adare were totally dead by 10 o clock on the
Bank holiday Monday. I couldn’t believe it.

If in a town like that with a few restaurants and hotels plus passing trade coming out of Kerry on a bank holiday Monday has zero people in them you’d wonder how anybody is busy.

Bank holiday Monday nights are always dead ?

There was people in Jacks than the three pubs in adare the same evening.

I was in Lena’s around 8 and they reluctantly took a food order because the kitchen was closing.

I doubt there was anymore 30 people in there and it was emoting quickly.

At least six staff on too I’d say.

Lenas doesn’t know what it is anymore. During the day you are a hindrance if you want a pint, yet last time I was in there after 9 the place was dead, just us, 2 other couples and a lad playing music.
