I didn’t bring any children into it? Early teens wouldn’t be relevant to a chat about Universities anyway. I think we’ve gotten our wires crossed.
Ah it’s TFK. You have to go full force with your opinions. I have good insight into Dublin and Limerick and feel UL is a much more sociable college experience than UCD/Trinity/DIT (TUD) now. I’d say DCU is the best of the Dublin colleges from a social perspective. Wouldn’t know much about Galway/NUIG but from my one college night down there during a RAG week then it seemed like a good nightlife.
“Rooney Auctioneers announce to the market this fantastic opportunity to acquire a six bedroom semi detached house with option to convert garage to seventh bedroom. Investor will be drawn to a lucrative investment opportunity with close proximity to The University of Limerick”
You’d want to be mad going to UL these days. A trade is your only man or the RTC out the road! UL is full of kiss me arse courses, outside of engineering. I should know. I did three of them. Fool me once…
Teaching, physiotherapy, industrial biochemistry, architecture and computer science hardly qualify as kiss my arse type courses. Graduate medicine too. You have a point with the music and dance course and the less salubrious business course when compared with BESS etc.
Yes. You are right. Those are practical and decent. The rest are masters of the universe course. I did European Studies in the 1990s. Jesus, what a waste of my time, and my parents money.
Exactly! I remember my first choice on the CAS was Quantity Surveying. Totally random course choices. I know what the better option would have been in hindsight!
