Suspending a Guard - and if it’s subsequently proved he didn’t have a case to answer - would almost amount to defamation of character…? Impact on future career prospects etc?

If they’ve arrested him, suspended him for over a year but nothing comes out of it, well it’ll have been some shambles. Drew will have already proved to be as incompetent as his predecessor.
If he’s going to court he must be confident of getting the suspension lifted.
