Reading the article you’ll find that bull dairy stock are fairly worthless, so if he couldn’t sell them and grass ran out during the hot dry weather, lazy farmer syndrome set in and he just let them die.
Somebody might correct me here but I think it takes an acre of land to support one dry stock so you’d have to assume they were in sheds. Must have been horrific.

That old line is always trotted out here which is complete bollocks.
Friesian Cattle will never flesh out like an Angus, Hereford or Continental but with current cattle prices they still are profitable.
Main cost is rearing them until putting out onto grass.
I know plenty of lads that when all was said & done had as much margin out of Friesian cattle as their Continentals.
This cunt should never be allowed handle/own animals again and he should be up before courts.
( if there is a genuine reason for this, I’ll eagerly await an explanation but at worst he could have contacted Department and had animals taken away before leaving them die of hunger or disease )

Putting another 4 stories on top of what’s there,sure what could go wrong.
Someone said to me it’ll only be 12m lower than RiverPoint when its done.
My man in Aughinish said the dust is like concrete underneath the top layer, he says there is no way it could shift. I’d rather not be living near it all the same.
