Matters Regarding Limerick šŸ™ļø

This is how the whole toxic whstapp group thingy kicked off. Lady B ā€¦ Or often referred to as other professional woman or some such term in various newspaper articlesā€¦ Was a member of the WhatsApp group which was essentially an An Taisce group. She opposed the building of apartments there and caused most of the storm after the rest of An Taisce went against her. It subsequently turned out she lives close by and thatā€™s why she was against it. The result has spawned the most bitter political fallout ever seen in Limerick history.

Usual story, people get very concerned about bats, impact assessments etc when housing they donā€™t want is being built locally.

The primary school accross from Mary I has huge room for expansion as well, Scoil Mhaithair De, playing fields in Mary I, there is literally no place in Limerick better suited to housing.

Do you want to build houses on the pitches of Mary I?
Mathair De can only expand into Scoil Carmel

you couldnā€™t put houses on that punches cross siteā€¦ the fucking traffic lads out to dooradoyle on a fucking cross. theyā€™d have to put the road out of it at the back or something if they did houses, on to the rosbrien road, and even then it would be a bastard.

Iā€™d imagine that was one of the reasons they were going for student housing

If you reread, i said another lady. Known as a professional

Worse again, flat out with delivaroos and uber eats

Emma Gilleece, you can say it now

No, why would anyone build on Mary I pitches? sorry if it read that way.

Mary I pitches are a fantastic amenity for the local people, its full of kids playing ball all summer. Prospective houses accross from Punches would have the benefit of that green space as well.

Mathair De have decent ground to the right of the school and in front toward the right to my eye, the Fennesseys side. More than most schools anyway. Ive been in urban schools on the South side of Cork with much less. Although in fairness, that green space is one of the great things about the place

No. Sheā€™s on the opposing sideā€¦ Itā€™s a Limerick solicitor in bed with the councillor.

Apologies, didnā€™t know that lady mentioned below by BIT was living there.

Whoever it is, they need to do something on that site.

Thereā€™s a huge field at the back of the Redemptoristā€™s Church crying out on the south side for something to be put there. Iā€™m not sure whatā€¦

Do St Clements not use that?
I trained for soccer on it a few times in the 00s
