Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️

Its grand in the evening, if your smart only you can time the gaps in the traffic, maybe get stuck at the lights at the strand and portleys. One thing i miss from living in the city centre

Its class in fairness.

The “new bridge”.
Gas people still refer to it as that

The new bridge is older than me, in fact my sister was born the day it opened.

The limerick twitter folk who want to rename it after jfk, flan costello or other limerick (or none limerick) personalities can fuck off ill call it the new or whistling bridge out of spite.

This will give the Limerick lads the horn I’d say

She’s pathetic.

around 1987 was it?

I see some lad with a con saw cutting down a new bollard that a bus drove into in O Connell street yesterday

There’s a few of them have right dents in them already.

But sure I suppose that’s why they needed bollards in the first place

What are they doing outside AIB, they look have come fierce far out with the paving.

I didn’t see that

Buses?

Bollards, but them too

You’re pathetic

Fair point.

It was two lanes coming up from the GPO, looks like it will just be one lane onto the junction and Cecil St will also stay one way.

Consensus from the two auld wans is that it is funny.

Appears not to have been designed to allow for public transport. Or pedestrians. Or for cars stopping up.

Would be better off with the Parnell st model.

People love to abandon their cars on O’Connell St & Willum St

And so the broad streets of Limerick were able to allow for double and triple parking.

On a more serious note. Where do you stand on the debate for where William st ends and willum at begins?
