I moved to Limerick in the early 2000s, plenty of cash and no kids, rarely cooked at home, eat out or take away, there was no competition then really but Peony Court was average at best, it was the same (still is) sloppy stuff you’d get in any Chinese in the city, just way more expensive,
There was no Asian restaurants of note,
Copper and Spice on Cornmarket Row was a game changer, there used to be a that restaurant by the White House called Thai Gourmet, awful stuff, Mogul Emporer was OK
The Shamrock Chinese by the Gaelic Grounds was alright to be honest
