Patsy’s is after getting a reprieve. Darren Hanrahan is taking it over for at least the next year.
I was chatting to him only recently in there. He’ll make a go of it.
It was up in the air for a bit as he works for An Post and had to negotiate a leave of absence. It’s sorted now.

Is The Thatch Bar in Knocklong gone?
A quick search tells me the only Thatch bar in Limerick is now in Adare.
The bar I would know as the Thatch is the one just down from Creeves Cross, not too far from Cappagh. Haven’t been there in years tbf, so it could be closed but I think it was doing a decent trade post-Covid.

I’d be very close to it and I’ve only been there a handful of times in the past 5 years.
