Matters Regarding Limerick šŸ™ļø

I think he was barred from the corner for 20 odd years and he got back for one night and he gets barred again. Talk about a stones of a man. He only lives beside the corner too.

I worked with him on a building site out in Shannon about 50 years ago if it is the same chap Iā€™m thinking about. He was an apprentice mechanical fitter at the time. Nice lad

I half listened to Nicola Tallants recent podcast in the car today about the Dundonā€™s ā€œre-emergenceā€ in Limerick. I wasnā€™t aware they were starting to assert their authority again. She made out on the podcast that two of the brothers are now in soft open prisons before theyā€™ll be released soon enough. Two others I think are still in Portlaoise while she said Ger Dundon has never really done jail time bar a current small stint in a UK jail. She said thereā€™s a protege of Gerā€™s who is running things on the ground for them, someone theyā€™ve had their faith in since he was a boy (and commanded more respect than fellas double his age at the time) but they stopped short of naming him (presumably because he is light on criminal records so far or maybe heā€™s still a juvenile?). Anyone able to shed light on if this is all horse shit or fairly accurate?

Accurate. That little scrote son has been involved in all manner of horrible shit.for years

Heā€™s the one who turned up with/dug up a gun at Calā€™s park while a match was on when he was only 9 or 10. Was also rumoured to be the one who instigated the clash with Kevin Sheehy and was in the passenger seat of the car when he was mowed down and killed.

Absolute vermin. A whip around should be done and the whole lot of them exterminated.

Is it the lad named for a popular jeans brand?
I had the pleasure of ā€˜teachingā€™ him during a stint of teaching practice nearly 10 years ago, a difficult child

The dundons are in the process of taking back prospect and weston, apparently theyā€™re using outside muscle with that gangster from Birmingham to do it.

Was talking to a fella from home, that part of the city is not a safe place

Which gangster is that? Thereā€™s plenty with Irish connections over here

Cahill, they used his crowd in the 2000s. There is another youngfella from there as well, and one of the Birmingham lads is serving time for kevin sheehy. I think theyā€™re travellers. The name escapes me. Jackson maybe?

@Thomas_Brady this was some find. Iā€™ve seen other pictures of the haul and a few of the boxes would relate to the landlords around my neck of the woods. Will be great to see what is uncovered over time.

Very sad news just heard Tom Tierney has passed away. One of the funniest, nicest lads you could ever meet and a damn fine sportsman. This is tough to take.

Most talented all round sportsman I had the pleasure of playing with. Rest in peace my pal, weā€™l sing a few verses of We are the Greeners for you.

Sorry for your loss mate, heard on the radio he was only 46. Had he been ill?

Heart attack.

Very sad.

Level Up is going to reopen within Hunterā€™s Sports Bar. Might do better there.

I probably still wonā€™t bother with it.

Great move

If they canā€™t make it work there they never will.

Ya, they couldnā€™t have a better location really. Not sure what the arrangements are.

Presumably downstairs? Be interesting
