Reading to article it sounds like the Irish busunesses are going well but the debts come from a failed expansion into the UK. They opened a couple of restaurants in London around the time covid hit.

Texas steak house is a little known wonder for those outside of the limericks, wouldnt see influencers posting live images of their meals. Nothing to do with the lack of phone coverage underground

Those type of restaurants are ten a penny in london
It’s nice food, but there’s nothing majorly wow about it. Food scene in London is vicious I’d say.
Be a shame if it closed. If for no other reason that they’ve a massive unit in the middle of town which would probably be empty a long time if they don’t.

That whole deal stinks but at least loads of students living in the city might reinvigorate the area a bit

You’d get a higher class of student on campus than in the College Courts and Elm Parks of this world too.
Edit: I thought there would be residential student accommodation included in the development. It would be interesting to see attendance figures for lectures in the city when it comes to pass
It sounds like a nothing idea. We will throw a few classes on in there every now and again and inconvenience everyone. It’s a stupid idea really. They needed to move something permanent in there to make it work.
But in reality they didn’t need to buy the fucking thing at all. They’ve a beautiful self contained campus with loads more space. Even if they did want a city centre location for some reason. They way, way, way overpaid.
The only thing that could work there would be a conference centre/venue of some sort.
There’s no where in the city to take a 1000 person audience for a mid size gig or event or whatever
The city could badly do with something anyway.
