Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️

I walk past it a good bit. I dunno if it’s open or closed half the time. It seems a bit all over the shop

Sexton’s do alright with the pizza but they sell plenty of pints too :joy:

I’d tip in there a bit and it’s generally decently busy.

The last time I looked in there was a please wait to be seated sign blocking the way just inside the door so I thought the conversion was complete and didn’t bother with it.

I thought the Windmill closed a few years ago? I was only ever in there a handful of times. The first pint I ever had in Limerick was in the Corner Flag, which as @Jahan said above, is a creche now. Was in the Old Stand, Larry Murphys and Bakers the same night. Only one of the four establishments still standing, it you will excuse the pun

If you turn right it’s a shisha bar,

Sextons is a nice pub, probably the pub I’d find myself in most often because we’d often bring the kids for pizza at the weekend and I’d use it to meet people as well, it’s a good pub,

Feathery Bourke´s was a creche back in the day as well.

Not surprised. We’re the fittest county in Ireland.

The fella that owns Shake Dog has bought the McDonald’s unit in town.

I was only wondering the other day when passing how the Shake Dog at the Coonagh roundabout manages to keep going.

That unit opposite Brown Thomas has been opening soon for a very long time now.

Doesn’t sound like he is putting a shake dog in there though. Hardly a need for a second one that close anyway.

Unless he is renting the other one

His oldman used to own the twomile inn and his brother owns couple pubs incl highway and also the rights to some marathon. Decent business brain among them.

One of the Campbells?

I think there was talk that was going to be Rooseters Pirri Pirri who already have a unit in Clarina.

I’d imagine a lot of hospitality type places have put any expansion plans on hold

That’s right. Presume postponed at best at this stage.

Dunnes

That Roosters place is quite nice, much nicer than Nando’s in my limited experience
