Memorable Performances
This is a depressing thread for a Galway man to be looking at…

Meehan masterclass V Kerry LOST THE GAME
Canning masterclass V Cork LOST THE GAME
Cooney masterclass V Cork LOST THE GAME
And don’t forget Sean Treacy in 89.

Don’t forget Padraig Kellys masterclass V Kilkenny 1993…LOST THE GAME

Savage performance. The wee man was like a spring board that day.

brian corocoran v kilkenny in '92…

Hmm, John Denton stole the show with his own memorable performance that day.
I seem to recall Dara O’Se giving a masterclass against Armagh in a quarter final some years back. It could have been when Donaghy retired Francie Bellew.

EDIT: Notice I didn’t give Donaghy much credit for ‘retiring Bellew’.
Mattie Forde retired Francie Bellew in 2008.

Conor McGrath v Cork last September

Tommy Keane - Galway United V Shamrock Rovers - 1991 FAI Cup Final.

The late Tommy tore Rovers to shreds that day and laid the winning goal on a plate for Ireland international, Johnny Glynn, late on. Honourable mention also to Johnny Morris-Burke, who was sensational for us at right back that day.

DJ Carey v Galway in the 97 AI QF

Peter Canavan v Dublin in the 1995 All Ireland Final.

why are you interested in what type of home i come from?, that’s most bizarre altogether.
Ill give your post an 'informative" rating just to placate you slightly, its well known that it is what you crave

why are people talking about 'retiring Francie Bellew" in terms of outstanding individual performances, it adds nothing to the argument especially as the fella was merely a broken up hatchet man with the speed of a @farmerinthecity 's wit at the latter stages of his career

Wayne Sherlock versus Kilkenny All Ireland 1999.

And Offaly in 99

Vincent Clerc v Ireland, 2007.

Eoin Kelly v us in Thurles during the Joe McKenna. He broke my heart that day, leaving Reale off him was criminal. Kelly went to town and stuck them over from every angle.

We played Tipp in Cork in the mid 90’s at some stage and beat them by a point. It was a Gary Kirby masterclass, think he scored everything for us that day bar one point.

Keane v Portugal and Holland at home in the qualifying campaign for the 2002 world cup.

Paolo Di Canio vs. Bradford City

They stuck Mark Foley on Kelly that day and it was embarrassing. Tipp beat us 0-22 to 2-12 (cracker of a goal from Shaughs as he got flaked across the hand) and Kelly got something like 14 points. Still, Big Joe is apparently the saviour of Limerick hurling these days.

The Kirby game was in 95 v Tipp. He got 12 points out of 0-16 on the day. TJ Ryan scored 2 points and is another apparent saviour of Limerick hurling these days.

As a final note, Fuck Keane, Portugal and Holland.

Shaughs, 4-9 (of 4-12, to win by one point) in a minor county final

Almost @Bandage sque. But not quite.
