Mickey Harte's Red Hand Army 2016

Cavan are the type of side we would struggle with in Ulster but given this is Croke Park and Tyrone are a Croke Park team I would expect us to win. I’d imagine we will start slowly and possibly be trailing at half time or having a small lead before upping it an pulling away to a 4/5 point win in the second half.

The bench looks very strong with plenty of running power. Richie Donnelly has been the pick of our performers to date this year and looks like he will play a big role this year. I was hoping Kieran McGeary would have seen more action this year but he has a lot of competition in there.

The team is pretty settled with only about 3/4 places up for grabs. We’re in good shape coming up to the Ulster Championship, we have a bench that there is confidence in this year compared to last.

Richie Donnelly must be injured. I don’t expect that team to start and think Justin McMahon will come in before kick off, also expect Rory Brennan or Conor Meyler to start.

Morgan

Only conceded 1 goal in the last 3 years of Championship football.

Probably the best keeper around in fairness to him.

He’s fucking hilarious. Love watching him play.

McNabb and Justy start - McCurry and Bradley replaced - that would probably mean Harte and Sludden moving into the half forward line.

Is this on tv?

Deferred coverage at 6.30 on BBC.

Cavan 0-02
Tyrone 0-01

Petey Harte has scored a cracker of a goal apparently.

1-06 to 0-05.

Peter Harte with another goal.

2-06 to 0-05.

Cavan have lost Givney to injury now, big blow.

Cian Mackey blows a great goal chance.

“Not really a great goal chance” say the boys on Northern Sound.

Ronan O’Neill seems to be having a poor day at the office.

Best wishes to Mark Lynch and the Cavan crew who are watching the match out in the Bog Road pub in the Costa Blanca.

Cavan not happy at the non-awarding of a penalty right before half-time.

Brian Canavan reckons Tomas Corr should have had a certain penalty before half time.

Tyrone 2-8 Cavan 0-7 at half-time. Tyrone looking good for a first Ulster final meeting with Donegal since 1989.
