Is it possible that the person who killed her found out about the bag being found, then in a panic dug up the body from its originally burial spot and moved it to the where it was found by the walker?
That’s good thinking. As one of the detectives said in one of the John Grisham books a long time ago, “it’s my job not to believe in coincidences.”
I think it was “the caretaker” who done it.
Agreed. Caretakers are usually creeps.
They mentioned that only part of the skeletal remains were discovered which would also support my theory of the body having been moved recently.

I understand they subsequently found more of the skeletal remains when they widened their search area.
This does not support my theory.
I still think it’s way too much of a coincidence for the discovery of the bag not to have led to the discovery of the body.

I would have assumed the two discoveries were independent but caused by some common recent occurrence.
That both the remains and the bag were moved recently?
Irish actor Gerry McCann has gone missing and his friends have said it’s very out of character.
Hope he turns up safe and well but I chuckled guiltily at that inadvertent pun.
You know what irritates me?
That picture they use of “disappeared” man Columba McVeigh.

First Madeleine, now Gerry…The McCann family are jinxed.

"A man’s body found on Dollymount beach in Dublin yesterday is that of missing actor Gerry McCann.
His sister confirmed the news this afternoon.
Gardai say it may still take some time to formally identify him using dental records however all searches for the missing man have now been called off."
Search and Rescue helicopter up and down the river here all morning searching for a missing 15 year old girl.
I saw the appeal for information on her on the web yesterday. Tragic stuff.
Is it just me or is there a lot of horrible stories around at the moment? The one in Athlone being the worst. Followed by Davy Fitz being an All Ireland winning manager.

Body of this girl found this morning near the river in Kileely.
The body of that 18 year old Patrick Halpin missing in London was sadly found last night. Tragically enough for the family, there were reports he was found alive and well yesterday evening, his sister posted something on social media, only for it come out as untrue shortly afterwards. A few hours later the reports came through of the body found behing BurgerKing in Leicester Square. A horrible range of emotions to go through in a short space of time.
Not in Ireland.
In the absense of a Missing People From Ireland thread, I’ll post here.
I see that Clare lad who was missing for the past few days in Sydney has been found alive. He had fallen down a stairwell and couldn’t get out.
Must have been legless…
