Yep. My source has since rowed back and said the ‘third-hand info’ he got wasn’t right. There was a presumption that she was in boot but she’s definitely not.

Ms Valdez was undergoing medical treatment at the scene and there are fears for her life. The wounded suspect was not expected to survive his wounds.

They have this line in their report as well;
The man lives in the county with his partner and children. He is in employment and failed to return home on Saturday night into Sunday. He also remained unaccounted for all throughout today.
That suggests to me someone from overseas.
Yeah that appears to be completely and utterly incorrect.
Deleted from their report now and they’ve added that your man is dead.

Just the fact that they state that the man lives in Ireland. I guess there could be a thought out there that it was a rental car for someone overseas so maybe that’s why you explicitly mention it.

It’s very odd. When was it first reported over the registration of the car? Surely AGS should have released ASAP that along with the identity of the owner- it wouldn’t have been hard to locate the man’s movements yesterday.
