Media bigging up the fact the Irish team have made it to the Homeless World Cup 1/4 Finals. On a personal level youâd hope they win it, but itâs a sad state of affairs that the only sport weâre probably World Class at is a team of homeless people. Apart from rowing weâre getting worse at everything else.
I suppose itâs one of the unforeseen benefits of having so many homeless people. Every cloud has a silver lining.
The way things are going weâll be unbeatable in a few years time.

Whats the qualifying principles for this? I knew of a fella who played on the team in the past and he was no more homeless. I wouldnât say he was ever without a home. I suppose he didnât âownâ a home, maybe that counted.
Surely we can get in a few homeless lads from London on the granny rule also⌠We should leave no piece of cardboard un-turned here - Itâs our best chance of winning a world cup.

I also know a lad who played in it, who Iâm pretty sure at the time had his own business and was driving around in a flash new car. The timelines might be slightly off on that, but he was definitely 100% never homeless in his life.

So I went to the doc last week to get a referral letter for an MRI on my s.i jointâŚI booked a provisional date for scan with Affidea online and they got back to me 48 hrs later (Friday) to say that the referral letter mention sacroiliitis and asks for a scan of lower back - which are two separate areas and we need your doc to confirm if itâs two scans or one ⌠Look, Iâm in a lot of pain here and I just want my s.i joint scanned⌠but your doc will need to confirm that⌠My doc is closed until Monday⌠Well if you get her to send in another letter first thing Monday we can go ahead with the booking that evening as planned.
I got onto doc, got referral into them and rang them up to confirm everything⌠Yes, we have that now Mr Mouse, but it will take 48 hours to verify this new referral ⌠Are you for real?? Iâve done all youâve asked and iâm in a lot of pain here and just want a scan⌠We will get back to you ASAP Mr Mouse but it could be Wednesday or ThursdayâŚ
