Both. You could say the same about most large cities, and itās getting worse. I was in LA a few weekends ago, walk a few blocks from a vibrant downtown with chic restaurants and you are in a tent city with rats everywhere. The rise in urban slums worldwide is a huge issue with the potential for a massive pandemic at any time.

No, I would say real poverty (not pretend poverty) is about the same overall or declining, but there is a large migration into large urban centers. Itās happening worldwide, about a quarter of the worldās urban populations live in slums and itās rising fast. Approaching a billion I believe.

Yes, it involves poor people migrating to cities, some manage to rise out of poverty while others donāt. This leads to a drop in overall poverty but a rise in urban poverty and slums. Even I can get this. Surely a Doctor could be able to figure it out.
