Most underrated movie ever

Would hardly call that underrated.

When it comes to Ganster movies most people will mention Godfather 2, Godfather, Casino, Scarface then get to Goodfella.

People that know their movies will go for Goodfella, saw a good movie recently Brocklyn Rules, I enjoyed it

Goodfella? Is there only one of them.

To be honest Clareman Goodfellas is the first one I’d mentioned and I wouldn’t claim to know much about movies

No - I would have said that Godfathers usually mentioned first followed by Goodfellas.

Anyway - what about some of the Cohen brothers stuff? Fargo is definitely in my top 5 films ever but would rarely feature high up on any greatest movies list.

Not massively impressed with 3.10 to Yuma. Fairly standard stuff to be honest.
Well made but nothing brilliant. Mind you well made films are fairly rare these days.
The Jesse James one is very good though. Looks great especially.

I take Goodfellas out of the list so, you guys know your movies

I’ll add Starship Troopers instead

Choriots of Fire.

Good shout Farmer i forgot about Fargo.

Funny I like Tin Cup as well- its a pretty non threatening inoffensive movie- not in te best of all time list though

Like Bowfinger a lot. Think the scene with Eddie Murphy and the dog in the high heels in the car park is a classic

This is hillarious - I’m going crazy out there at the lake.

Poor Jerry Lundegaard - what a wimp. William H Macey is class as him. Steals he show.

Ferris Bewlers Day Off is an underrated movie but is class. Gets tied up in that whole 80’s teen movie catagory but is way better than that.

The Breakfast Club still holds up in that category Locke.

True MMB, and I’m sure there are others but some amount of crap around that time too.

Once Were Warriors,
Scum,
Romper Stomper

Ah you’ll have that.

Am a big fan of the following Kevin Smith gems

Clerks
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma

I thought Clerks 2 was rubbish i saw it recently, but i must say i liked the first one.

Yea Clerks 2 isnt a patch on the first one.

Mallrats is my favourite of the Kevin Smith movies. Brodie is a fucking legend.

Most of the films that come to mind have been mentioned.

I haven’t seen ‘The Counterfeiters’ mentioned yet though - European movie from last year set during World War 2. A Jewish counterfeiter is imprisoned in concentration camps and then forced to make currency to flood the British and then American markets. Moral questions and fear ensue. Brilliant acting and script, and very well balanced movie that was one of the best of last year imo. Definetly get it on DVD.
