Motherwell v Celtic

Ambrose, Wilson, Ledley and Commons are on paid annual leave.

Matthews, Brown and Lassad are injured.

Would expect to see some young players feature.

12.45pm kick-off.

Looking forward to seeing some of the younger lads get a run at this level.

The Under 19s winning the league the other day means they’ll be able to rotate players into the first team now without fear of disrupting that team.

There are one or two senior players who will probably benefit from the opportunities presented too. Stokes has had an injury-curtailed season, I guess Zaluska will want a run-out, Rogne is just returning from injury so could do with a couple of games (though his contract situation may cloud the decision), Forrest will want to play a few games too I imagine.

I wonder if we’ll see Keatings before the season ends. He hasn’t been as prolific at underage level since returning from injury but he’s a decent player and would have been ahead of Watt in terms of development prior to his injury.

Still a strong starting team - more experimental on the bench:

Lustig, Rogne, Mulgrew, Izaguirre;
Kayal, Wanyama, Rogic, Samaras;
Watt, Hooper

Could be a 4-3-3 either with Sammy pushing up and he and Watt playing either side of Hooper.

Bench:Zaluska, Gershon, Stokes, McCourt, Keatings, Atajic, McGeouch

I take it when Lennon said he’d rotate the team that he meant he would rotate with the exception of Hooper.

Very disappointed to see Stokes, Gershon and McCourt not starting.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a 4-3-3 with Samaras on the left and Watt on the right. Looking forward to seeing how Rogic and Watt get on.

15 minute delay.

Kicking off now. Brought back forward to 12.50pm. Got a guard of honour from them. :eek:

Rogic asleep at that corner.

Who is on commentary duty with Ian Crocker?

Nice little move there ending with Kayal hitting a decent shot but straight at Randolph. Rogic has given it away once or twice but good to see him prominent.

Neil McCann.

linesman flags for offside when Kayal is level and ball played by Motherwell defender. Norris actually got it right in fairness.

Forster going through one of these phases where he won’t come off his line.

Forster glued to his line there. That’s a ball bouncing 4 yards out that he’s not claiming.

Rogic has the attributes to be a cracking player

How to fathom out why Tony Watt has played so little this year.

Great play by Watt for that Hooper chance. Impressed by Rogic so far.

Great cross from Watt there, very good save from Randolph.

Watt is destroying these lads.

Ah lovely. Good pace and strength from Watt.
