Motherwell v Celtic

12 pm kick off.

Strange team with Ciftci starting and Griffiths on the bench. Lustig only a sub too. Griffiths got injured with Scotland and Lustig needs looking after but there’s a decent gap until Thursday. Dunphy would have a fit if Weso was treated like this.

@celticfc: Subs: Bailly, Tierney, Lustig, McGregor, Griffiths, Mackay-Steven, Stokes. #COYBIG (MH)

Could have done with Simunovic being back. I hope Blackett is a better centre back than left back. Rare bench appearance for Stokes.

I thought Ambrose would have been sent to pasture by now. Deary me.

Is Janko injured? I don’t think he’s the answer but interested in whether he’s been written off yet or not.

Armstrong is so average.

Janko was decent in the last game away to Hamilton - presume he’s got a knock.

Sutton speculating that the likes of Lustig and Griffiths would possibly have started had Aberdeen won last night.

Chance for some players to rest up before Thursday now.

I’m a bit alarmed by Simunovic’s continued absence. It seems quite mysterious, almost Vidukaesque.

Playing some decent stuff so far. Forrest picked up a knock for Scotland too didn’t he?

Armstrong has no guile or creativity to play wide.

Christ, Brown is giving it away every time he gets it.

I think he can be a pretty good player for us. Needs to get some consistency in his game now he’s back from injury.

Ciftci!!!

Good football to create that. Think Commons is linking the play really well.

Is your son watching the game?

The head on that Fletcher lad.

Armstrong has given it away the last two times he’s got it. Trying to take the ball at pace and playing a quick pass on the move but he’s misdirected the pass. Needs to cut that out.

That has to be a yellow.

Astonishing decision even by Scottish standards. It’s just crazy that someone can make that call and not be stripped of their job. It’s plainly wrong.

He sure is. Enthralled by it so far.

I’m very impressed with this performance so far. Bitton abd Commons doing well and the back 4 surprisingly good on the ball.
