Motorways driving

Not so much that, but the gard could say anything and the judge will take his word without stone cold evidence to the contrary. Dog doesn’t eat dog. Dog eats mouse.

They’re not all bad eggs but as an organisation they’re at best incompetent or at worst corrupt. There was a Scannan program the other night on RTE1 about an investigation on the murder of a UK ambassador. It, McBrearty and McCabe would make you question who the real criminals are in this country.

not all of them have ANPR and some of those that do don’t have them switched on

Yeah seems to be a lot of politics and bad practice rewarded or allowed if you toe the party line, or at least there was. Is there not cunts in every profession though, i had some shocking teachers, one lad used to batter us in primary school, i dont think all teachers are bad or abusive though

There are cunts in all walks of life . it’s a fact

The cop that got it wrong ended up getting a promotion. He went to school with Haughey of course.

The case brought by the two whistleblowers was a farce. Judge dismissed the jury when he realised how incriminating the evidence was for Charlie’s mate. The judge then threw the case out shortly after.

Corruption is rife among many police organisations but the Gardai have to be up there with the worst when you have the top man spreading false rumours about a foot soldier being a “kiddy-fiddler”. This top man had all his legal fees covered by the tax payer while telling lies(according to the judge) in the Tribunal. The only consequence for him was reputational damage which for a man of his character would be like water off a duck’s back. They replaced him with an ex-member of another corrupt police force.

Who should they have replaced him with?

It’s not the appointment, it’s where he came from.

Fair enough, but where do you think they should have looked. Do you consider any police un corrupt?

Seems to have done a good job so far and not afraid to shake the guards up a bit. Major culture change needed and he’s made a good start imho
