you reckon he had time to take the reg down?
No
he hasnt a hope then…
worst you could be dont for would in my limited knowledge disobeying a garda…which would only be a fine which is well worth it as opposed to penalty points…
Winning!
If you’re clocked by a cop with a camera, don’t they have to stop you there and then for it to have an impact on you?
Yes.
However if you evade a Garda in the course of his business, I’d imagine thats a far more serious offense.
Again ---- was I anyway right to continue on given the dangerous place he wanted me to pull in and the use of incorrect hand signals
I’d imagine you should have pulled in at the earliest available possibility.
I did, about 8 minutes later when I slipped off the motorway.
again not 100% but it probably depend on the camera they are using as when the are stationary on Motorways they are hardly going to tear after you
Generally Gardai wont have cameras, they have speed guns. A speed gun will need to catch up with you and show you the reading. Camera are your general gatso van and a different matter. Unless its changed in recent times.
Fagans diagrams are a forum highlight.
the one thing @anon61878697 would need to consider is that if he was using a gun he probably has the reg
I’ve been informed by people in the know that they only record speed.
And there is your problem. If he didn’t pursue you he won’t do anything I’d imagine. If you get a summons, just say you have absolutely no idea what he was talking about, never saw a garda, and get a solicitor.
the one thing @chocolatemice would need to consider is that if he was using a gun he probably has the reg
i wasn’t aware the guns now read the reg?
im not sure…
probably safe if cop was on a bike but the traffic corps cars have Auto number plate recognition built into their cameras
Lads, he’s in Cork ffs. The Gardai down there wouldn’t catch a fucking cold.
