Varadkar I recall listening to in an extended interview on the radio about 4 years ago calmly and so earnestly explaining that the toll on the tunnel under the Shannon was temporary. He was challenged on this point and repeated with all sincerity that the toll was a temporary measure and in no way would it be a permanent thing.
I wonder has a toll been removed from any road in Ireland ever? Or anywhere really?

My father used to tell us as kids when we were driving down to the grandfather that it was the longest bend in Ireland. I’m sure he had no proof whatsoever for that statement
