Idiot drivers cause accidents. Tailgating and phones always the cause….

Signs were blurred out last time I was on the road

I thought it was. I’d absent mindedly drifted up beyond 120 for a stretch yesterday and was trying to work out how long I’d need to stay around 110 to bring the average down

There was flashing mobile signs on it yesterday saying Camera Testing Ahead, so they must still be only trialling it.

Are you sure about that?

Yes

What’s this average speed thingy?

Presume the car gets snapped at point a and point b and a time differential is done between both points.

Our average speed going up to Dublin was 8 km per hour, so you could have absolutely floored it and still been under the average speed

Love hearing cagers bemoan “traffic” like they are some.outside observer

I went from Carrickmines to Baldoyle yesterday and the M50 had all 3 lanes rammed both ways of a Sunday afternoon. It’s nuts

Will either point be fixed or do they both constantly change?

Fixed. Common in other countries particularly long haul road freight.

So everyone will know where they are? That’s fine. Plough on ta Fuck.

What is nuts? Too many cagers?

In some places, they even report on the radio where the mobile speed vans are located. Logic I think is put them in areas of high accident/high speeding areas and make people aware so actually look to slow down. Not just a revenue driven exercise like standard speed vans

Something we can all get behind.

Some lad flashed the lights to me on the way into Bruree last week. The shades were hiding behind a wall. Very decent of him.

Youd still see it done about the place, giving a heads up.
