Out of curiosity was there many Irish survivors of the titanic? I don’t recall hearing about too many and it’s the sort of thing in Ireland you’d Nearly be famous for or end up on the late late show a dozen times.
There’s always great human interest in these tales of missing/trapped people like the Thai football team trapped in a cave, the Chilean miners, the children of the Amazonian plane crash and so on.
RTÉ fair need to update their “less that 40 hours of breathable air” story. I know it’s still technically true but surely they could give us a more relevant figure
A British Navy rescue expert reckoned it was wishful thinking to think that an aircraft would pick up the sound of four fellas banging on the inside of a carbon fibre drum 4 kilometres beneath the surface of the sea. He reckoned the hull imploded early on in the dive and it was all over in seconds.
