Stuck on a mountain: ‘Body heat saved us… Luckily we’re friends’

You wouldn’t cross this bird. She’d have you for breakfast.

The breakfast will be the only thing going in and out of her once over the next few days so

I could think of worse ladies to be stranded with.
On a ten inch ledge there are lots worse.
I donno.
They look like the type that might eat ya.

I don’t believe two ladies could lie together on a ten inch wide two foot long ledge. I’m calling bullshit on this story.
You’d be amazed what two women could do with 10 inches. I’ve seen the videos.
They were ‘huddling’ rather than lying together
They were ‘huddling’ rather than lying together
Measure it out there and see how realistic that is.
Sure I know. 24in by 10in - the reverse of the old joke about a woman believing what 9 inches was

On their climb up, the French soldiers had identified a patch of flat land that a helicopter could land on
Would you think they have a ‘specialised helicopter’ in the Himalayas, I suspect so
Even so, it might be able to land but unlikely be able to take off again with the two girlies onboard.
17,400 feet, that’s 5300 metres.
So 6000m is a bit of an exageration.
The article says they got stranded at 6k metres.
It says the French group identified a spot for the helicopter to pick them up on their way up towards that 6k mark
It does not say that the helicopter picked them up from the exact spot where they had been stranded
