Well said Exile. Time to start looking to young Keatley in Connacht?

Who’s Devon Toner for us?

a poor mans farmerinthecity…
doesn’t say much for sexton, i’d imagine he’s now 3rd choice out-half for leinster behind nacewa.
come to think of it, when a guy who was described as a “utility back” in NZ is your no.1 outhalf and he only in the country a wet week, it doesn’t say much for any of the team or coaching staff.
Whoa whoa there t_e.

Nacewa is quality, and was quality when he was in NZ as well. Would have been an All Black except he played 5 mins of rugby for Fiji or someone in a world cup in 2003.

He would be first choice at most clubs in Europe in the country a wet week or not.

Small bit of an overblown reaction methinks to the last month of rugby here.

Sexton was excellent last season in a lot of games, two victories over Munster included. Keatley played very very well last weekend but isnt gteed first choice at Connacht yet (maybe after last weekend he is in a srong position alright).

Sexton has hit a road bump in his form but I wouldnt write him off yet, and definately not at Keatleys expense.

Dan my point was we can pretty much be assured that Sexton is not going to see much front line rugby between now and the 6 Nations, agreed?

Keatley at least is playing some frontline rugby, albeit in the much maligned, but at least worthy Challenge Cup.

Sexton is gone severely off the boil this season, and this has been reflected in Cheika’s desperation ploy of dragging Luke off the wing and putting Phil at 10. This wont do Sextons confidence any good whatsoever.

I always liked the cut of Keatley gib, and am delighted to see him getting games.

As back up for ROG, we have nothing, still. Looking like its going to be Paddy again, which is a shame because I was looking forward to seeing him get a run at 12 with Ulster at least.

Great points Dan. Some of the Munster contingent must have forgotten those games, especially Sexton’s classy display down in Musgrave Park.

As Eddie Murphy was so keen on saying in the excellent Raw

“what you done for me lately?!”

i must watch that again…classic…

Very magnamimous Pukey. It was indeed a classic Leinster performance down in Musgrave Park last season. Definitely worth another watch to see the champions at their best.

in fairness bandage i call it as i see it…credit where credit is due…to use one of stuart barnes/miles harrisons cliches “they outmunstered munster

Credit Leinster, they are quite the Magners league side. Although their last two games would suggest things are not going well. Its all about what you done for me lately as I said above.

Classic!!

any ideas on the handicap betting for tonight… Montabaun have a B team out.

According to my 100% accurate Vbookie section, Munster -30 points are 10/11.

by jesus that was too close for comfort…although it could be a blessing in disguise…reckon sale could bear the brunt of it next weekend…

Shocking performance. Maybe it would have been more comfortable if the defending European champions had been able to sell out the first home game of their title defence and the crowd had created a hostile atmosphere. I don’t know what was more laughable - the performance or the attendance. No big deal though - I’m sure their supporters will come out in numbers later on when the media advise them to. Embarrassing.
