Sure its micro doping in the off season , they cant get caught . The benefits or the roids stay in their system .
Nothing to do with Europe its the premiership salary cap is broken. And their fellow premiership clubs who are putting the boot in to them
Your dreaming if you think the Irish budgets are bigger than Saracens.
Iām well aware itās the premiership salary cap they have broken, but if English clubs are going to put restrictions on themselves that the French and Irish donāt have then they may as well pull out of Europe as they clearly wonāt be able to compete. The crowds English clubs get at european games are way smaller that what they get in domestic games, they should just add 2 teams to the premiership and forget about europe.
Yeah that makes sense. Brexit means brexit and all that. Just when you need cash cut off a major funding source from gates and tv incomeā¦jesus wept
With the greatest of respect you always give the impression of having a very tenuous grasp of finances. Two extra home games for each team in the premiership would make up for the loss of gate receipts from europe. It would reduce the overall number of games players have to play which is a huge issue also.
How many teams qualify from the premiership? It would surely increase games for over half the teams in it. It would decrease for a small few. Without Europe English clubs suffer massively as bt would stop forking out the cash surely.
Currently 11 teams from the premiership qualify for Europe, the 12th team gets relegated.
11 teams arenāt in the European cup? Isnāt there only 20 teams in it.
Saracens are bottom of the league on minus 26 points.
There are 2 competitions in Europe, one of which involves teams going to places like Siberia and Romania to play games. The reason you donāt seem to know about it is because nobody gives a shite about it, though the fixtures still have to be fulfilled in front of near empty grounds.
Thatās a different competition. You said sarries would be better off. They clearly wouldnāt. They would lose a lot of money.
Also if itās a huge issue why are they constantly trying to add extra teams?
No I said English clubs would be better off forgetting about playing in Europe if they are going to put restrictions on themselves that stop them being able to compete with the French and Irish. Why did you think removing English teams from europe and adding 2 teams to the premiership would increase the amount of games for over half the league and only decrease for a small few?
But they make a pile of money from playing in Europe? Thereās absolutely no way saracens make more money from playing two extra home games and not playing in a champions cup. You also seem to think English clubs canāt compete with the Irish provinces. Yes they can. They canāt compete with France alright but nobody can.
Your sums are way off on most of this, Europe is worth loads to Irish clubs as they are the games they get big crowds for but itās the opposite in England. At the minute Saracens make a few quid from it, but if they are going to exit at the pool stage or quarterfinal most seasons now because they donāt have the same financial power as other teams in it they will make very little. As a ballpark figure qualifying for the European Cup is worth about Ā£250k to English sides in it, 4 extra league games would more than cover it across the league.
Out of curiosity do you have any proof of these figures? How much do bt pay for the tv rights for Europe?
Itās been confirmed the boks havenāt even signed yet for Munster.
I also thought the salary cap was being removed in two years time after that windfall the premiership clubs from their new investors.
Itās fairly well understood here but I had a look for you and came up with this
