they are in big trouble. Attendences down all year, running 2 stadiums, haven’t the money to keep best young players or attract world class players, losing 4 or 5 players in the off season besides losing Paul o Connell…400k a year contract paid for by the IRFU which won’t be replaced. Whats just as laughable is how Williams is still the second best scrum half
…unbelievable when you think stringer played in the English premiership final today. And Munster are bringing o leary back next year!! Lots of questions to be answered. Great days.

Munster have to repay the IRFU 4.2 million in 2017 and are relying on 10 year sales to do so. The glory days for the bandwagon are well and truly over and the chances that they see the same level of interest again are minimal.

The IRFU have rolled over the loan enough providing Munster with an interest free loan and I can’t see members in the other 3 provinces happy for this farce to continue beyond that.

Mr Fitzgerald believes the difficulty of getting to games at Thomond Park - particularly for those travelling from the larger population base in Cork, is having a big effect on poor attendance.

Last week, Munster Rugby revealed a €800,000 deficit for the year ending June 30, 2013, and the province is projecting another loss, this time of €600,000, for the current financial year as the Munster Branch AGM was told of a €650,000 drop in season ticket sales as one of the primary contributors to the shortfall.
