Munster Rugby - We DID start the fire (Part 1)

Munster down in 6th now after this weekend’s fixtures dropping below Ulster & Glasgow and just one point ahead of Edinburgh. Real danger now of not qualifying for next season’s European Cup for the first time.

What needs to happen for that? 7th place or lower?

I’m open to correction here, but I think it 7 places with at least one place assigned to the top finishing side from Ireland, Wales, Scotland & Italy. After that the final three places go to the highest placed three sides in the league. As things stand Leinster, Connacht, Scarlets, Glasgow and one of the Italian sides all look home and hosed. Then its 2 from 3 - currently its:

Ulster (55 from 19)
Munster (53 from 19)
Edinburgh (52 from 19).

Ulster have Zebre (a), Leinster (h), Ospreys (a)
Munster have Connacht (a), Edinburgh (h), Scarlets (h)
Edinburgh have Leinster (a), Munster (a), Cardiff (h)

so allowing for an italian team two defeats and seventh place will miss. let’s do it

Munster v Edinburgh on 29 April looks the key game. Ulster will surely bag a bonus point win in Italy and Ospreys don’t have anything left to play for.

Ah lovely.

Another moral victory for Munster rugby football tonight. I assume they were brave and heroic as ever.

Who are you supporting in soccer these days now that you’ve given up on Man U?

Fantastic, I chanted for the Ster with gusto today

He knows his rugby football, he gives me a better news feed than RTE

What’s going on between O’Gara and the Pinergy Kid?

O gara is underpant sniffing like a Kilkenny burglar here. :grinning:

He said himself and Paulie would definitely coach together in the future.

Munster in a bit of bother now, trailing Connacht 25-14 which if its stays as it is leaves Munster in 7 and outside of the qualification places for next seasons European Cup with just two games left.

That Edinburgh game will be a nail biter for me

We all know of one particular Limerick man who will be absolutely pulling the stomach out of himself at that prospect.

And safe to say, he just blew the load.

If Cardiff get a bonus point win at home to the Newport/Gwent Dragons tomorrow, Munster drop to 8th.

Yessssssssssssss.
