Munster Rugby - We DID start the fire (Part 1)

If he was raving so highly of him, would be have been out actively looking for a replacement?

I genuinely think tough on Scannell. Thereā€™s a very good footballer in there but days seem somewhat numbered now. Still, some player to bring in.

Iā€™m delighted with this. I care more about Munster Rugby than Irish rugby. If this brings us a step closer to winning a major trophy, then brilliant. Young lads can still get lots of game time this year if they prove to Johann they are the real deal

Deal is done with ages.

Tough on Scannell but he has consistently started for Munster when Farrell, Arnold, Saili, Taute etc all around. He is massively durable and consistent. Id be far more confident he will hold down a place rather than Farrell who for all his talent struggles to impose himself

All of them predominantly 13s, not a ball playing/kicking 12. Havenā€™t followed Super rugby but what mould does the new Book fit? Super hands from what I saw in the tournament.

Itā€™s got to be disappointing when you sign a South African World Cup winner and itā€™s a centre. He probably touched the ball about 5 times in the tournament

@gilgamboa will need a HIA after the battering here.

Ten man rugby up the jumper is all you need . Any auld player can slot in centre if needs be .
Lets stick to our strength and build a serious pack . Munster munster munster stand up and fight

Is this new fella they signed a yellow pack version of John De Villiers? That went well.

Sure they built a school in his name in Limerick.

Aka Harvey Norman 24 months interest free.

Two smashing signings on the face of it.

What is the feeling in Ballybeg on these signings ?

The Stokes family are for them and the Halligan family are agin them.

How are munster affording these lads? Theyā€™ll be on top dollar now, unlike pfaf who shot his load too soon.

Saracens appear to have been fined 5m and docked 35pts for breaches of premiership salary cap rules.

Bit of belt tightening required. Nigel Wray had been ā€˜co investingā€™ in business interests with the players as a workaroundā€¦

Loads of players cut out of squad freeing up salary, and no shortage of cash anyway despite all the media noise around debt etc

The ironic thing is Saracens are one of the best clubs for bringing players through from their academy and looking after the health of their main stars. They are also the only English side who were able to compete with the big spending French and Irish. If they stick with the salary cap the English clubs would be better pulling out of European competition entirely and just adding 2 new clubs to the premiership.

A leopard never changes its spots and certainly not when in comes to munster and their recruitment policy. They signed a drug cheat in Grobler and time will prove these 2 are at it as well if sporting Ireland dont intervene first I guess.

Sure its micro doping in the off season , they cant get caught . The benefits or the roids stay in their system .

Nothing to do with Europe its the premiership salary cap is broken. And their fellow premiership clubs who are putting the boot in to them
