Munster rugby is back in the big time. What guts to dig out that win at Ravenhill.

Not bad for a team with no scrum half or out half o

I have a theory about Munsterā€™s improvement over the last fortnight

Munster were very upset as an organisation the way Sky approached Foley thru his Head Coach gig. internal management were fuming (not the coaching staff per say) and they felt Sky pulled a few strokes.

Apparently sky bent over backwards this last week to help out. may be genuine, but they are a tv company, so iā€™ll let ya make up your own mind.

They are both very poor

But together they are abysmal

Williams is actually good ball carrier and gets past the first man a bit but no control. the other lad is beyond redemption unfortunately

Approached him in what way? Criticism?

I thought they handled the situation very well tbh, on the fly as well considering they were live when it happened. More down to the presenters than anything else

Very poor game TBH . Ulster were awful. Munster too.

Ya its some drop from 1 to 2 in both positions. maybe 3/4 levels down?

Williams is AIL standard, at best, and i have even seen him make awful decisions at that level.

Ah they handled the tragedy well. but iā€™m referring to last year in particular.

Iā€™m not saying its justified, i cannot quite remember the criticism that well, but Munster were definitely not happy

They deserved criticism last year though. Itā€™s professional sport ffs a bit of criticism goes with the territory.

Its actually cruel on Keatley to keep putting him out there.

Twas grand

Ulster massively overrated and have been for years. It was a recurring discussion I used have with @TheTippingKing who was a good tipster but had huge blindspot for them

They felt it was too personal. team criticism is fine, they felt Sky made it all about AF

Williams will get a move somewhere at end of contract. Heā€™s very average but when you see a team coming in to take TOL on short term contract realise there will be a spot for him somewhere

Keatley is a different story. The man has 1000+ points kicked in professional rugby and started a 6N game not long ago (was ridiculous decision tbf to pick him). Heā€™s lost his way completely. I feel sorry for him in one way but fuck thatā€¦I had argument for months with lads last year that munster were not that far off getting out of european pool. I genuinely believe if we had any of the other 40 odd out halves in the competition we would have gone through. Bar the Zebre 10s I doubt there is a worse out half named in any of the other 18 clubs European squads. Most clubs have 3 better than him.

Heā€™s lost his confidence completely and his kicking action has deserted him
He cannot recover from an error and itsee killing the team

Unlike Williams, Iā€™m not sure there is a pro career there for him when this gig is over

I donā€™t watch much rugby but I went to a Munster match last year around Christmas and I actually felt sorry for the chap. He was like a deer in the headlights canā€™t believe heā€™s still first choice. there must be someone in the province better. The lad canā€™t even kick the fucking thing
