Yeahā¦that kind of wage would have put him in top 10 earners in munster squad Iād sayā¦and would all have been out of munsters pocket as IRFU wouldnāt have been offering him any central contract

Hanrahan needs Connacht more than Connacht needs hanrahan.
Hanrahan needs 40 or 50 starts over 2 seasons anywhere he can get them. He cannot make a move now where he wonāt be pretty sure of getting them.
He is unlikely to get them at Munster as it stands and I wouldnāt bet on him getting them at Connacht either unless he was shifted from pillar to post as a utility player.
I think he will come back to Munster and Iād be happy to see it. but I donāt think it is the right move for him and if I was his agent Iād be pushing him away from it strongly. Heād pick up a decent club in France or elsewhere in England Iād say anyways he will have options.

I know that. I shit my togs when I see Keat ly coming on. But Han rahman is very capable of doing a job at Full back.
He is and that was partly why I made the Staunton comparison. But his desire to play 10 was one of main reasons he looked to leave in the first place.
He is a capable full back and centre but will never be international standard at anywhere bar out half (and that looks a serious stretch in itself right now). He doesnāt have the pace for full back at all.
